Two years ago, it gave me great pleasure to attend a special in-conversation event to celebrate the release of a biography I had written, Under Her Skin: The Life and Work of Professor Fiona Wood AM, National Living Treasure. Since then, the Fiona Wood Foundation has witnessed the incredible impact of sharing Fiona’s story. It has inspired many to learn more about the effects of burns, the importance of research, and the power of perseverance to innovate in the face of adversity.
I spent 20 years asking Fiona to share her story, and, true to form, Fiona finally agreed—on the condition that all her proceeds from the book sales go directly to the Foundation to support their research and education efforts.
