Back in Sydney after the Cunard Literature at Sea cruise and thinking back over what an amazing experience it was … Such a highlight appearing on stage with this man – Alex McCall Smith – a brilliant writer, an amazing raconteur and, for someone who looks as if it all comes so easily, an incredibly hard worker. He confided that sometimes he gets up at 3am to write! Often, he’ll go to bed later when he hits a snag in his plot, and dreams up a solution. I MUST try that … I’ll start going to bed at 7pm to compensate. But in the meantime, such a blast to share his spotlight for an hour!
