What me? Yes, I guess when you have a new book out, the moment in time you have for letting people know about it is short, and you have to grab every opportunity with both hands. So I’ve been doing my best to tell as many people as possible about the novel The Governor, His Wife and His Mistress, and hope they’ll consider giving it a read. It’s a tough job, and sometimes I find it simply excruciating to have to be so brazen and pushy. But these days, it’s what authors have to do in order to persuade their publishers to keep publishing them, so we can continue to do what we love to do best: discovering great stories and pinning/penning them down.
