What a fabulous chat about books! Had a great day out at the seaside at the Words at Wagstaffe event, part of the Words on the Waves Writers’ Festival on the NSW Central Coast, talking with Kerrie Davies about her marvellous book, Miles Franklin Undercover. What a treat for me, and everyone else who heard her stories about researching such a great feminist and writer and adventurer. It was fun, too, to compare her creative non-fiction with my historical fiction and work out the things we have in common, and our differences.
