Harper’s Bazaar magazine has featured me in its March issue, profiling me and my latest book, The Duke’s Secret. As a journalist, I’ve been to many shoots where the ‘talent’ is made up, styled, dressed in designer clothes and draped in expensive jewellery. But never before have I been subjected to all that. And, I have to say, I found it enormously uncomfortable! You be the judge on the result – I think I’m pretty unrecognisable. But it was a great honour to be interviewed by the fabulous Sarah Macdonald and a once-in-a-lifetime privilege to appear in the magazine and, in a second picture, wearing $80,000 worth of jewellery. OMG. I had no idea at the time and I now understand why the staff were so alarmed when I went to walk out, forgetting I had it on. Honestly. But thanks so much Harper’s Bazaar and its wonderful publisher Maureen Jordan for the experience. And at least I now know that, in future, my place is definitely on the other side, with the notebook and pen …
