The Amazon seems to change every kilometre, especially as you drift through some of the creeks and rivers winding by. Birds are everywhere — macaws, toucans, kingfishers, egrets, storks, eagles — and we stop regularly for expeditions on 12-seat skiffs, with just a few of us on each time, to take a closer look at the floating forests.
