Lovely to see so many sloths hanging around in the trees. They’re such funny-looking creatures and move so incredibly sluggishly, with such a slow metabolic rate. But they’re very cute at the same time. The last time I saw one was in Costa Rica. I was staying in the rainforest and sat at a table in the outdoor restaurant and didn’t notice one hanging from a tree above my head – until he peed on me. This one, happily, was at a much safer distance. As was the lizard, who couldn’t get away fast enough when we stopped for a boating picnic.
