Finally got to see – and taste – what all the fuss is about over this incredible hazelnut, meringue and chocolate mousse cake, decorated on top with stencils of rosellas in cocoa power. A friend brought one to our dinner party and wow! What a fabulous treat! The cake, from a small patisseries on Sydney’s North Shore, Du Plessy Pralin & Otello, went viral last year after being featured on a vlog, and people now fly to Sydney from around the world for the chance to eat a slice. And the poor bakers …. They’ve gone from making 100 a week, to 150 cakes a day. Genius.
