Who is the most interesting character in a book: the hero or the villain? I know it’s the hero — as long as s/he is written convincingly enough — and I’m about to put that conviction to the test. Will be arguing the hero v villain conundrum at a lively debate mediated by the expert Michael Robotham at the Northern Beaches Readers Festival on September 27. I’ll also be appearing on a panel talking about bringing history to life – and why revealing long-hidden mysteries continues to resonate so powerfully with readers today. Can’t wait!
