My last book out, The Duke’s Secret, was all about the Duke of Wellington’s many love affairs, in between fighting the Emperor of France, Napoleon. So I’m always interested to see any images of the two men — one my alleged four-times great grandfather and the other … the Emperor of France. This painting was particularly fascinating. If you look more closely at his face, it’s actually Elvis. OMG! Two massive cultural brands collide.
