Such fun to appear on a panel at the Northern Beaches Readers Festival at Avalon in Sydney! This time I was on a panel talking about seeking out the secrets of the past for my latest novel, The Duke’s Secret, alongside the tremendously talented writers Joan Sauers and Sarah Clutton. We were surprised there by publisher Annette Barlow from Allen & Unwin in the audience … who turned out to be the publisher of all three of our books! We had no idea we weren’t each her only author! (just joking) Then, for the last event of the festival, I was on the panel debating whether the hero or the villain is the most interesting character in a book. I was on the side of the hero – and we won (but no thanks to me, I suspect!)
