Taking some time out from the World Travel & Tourism Council’s annual global summit to see some of the stunning sights of Malta’s capital Valletta. It was amazing to enter the plain squat building that houses St. John’s Co-Cathedral and discover the interiors — a dazzling Baroque masterpiece filled with gold-leaf ornamentation, vaulted painted ceilings, and marble artwork.
