And now docked at the Greek island of Nydri or Lefkada, considered by some to be Homer’s Ithaca. Beach life is unremittingly modern, though, with cafes and restaurants lining the shore, and everyone eating a bit, swimming a bit, eating some more and then swimming some more. An absolute idyll.
