A Shining Presence

I was so excited to attend the launch of the massive retrospective exhibition of my long-time friend, photographer extraordinaire Lorrie Graham, at the State Library of NSW. It covers five decades of our lives, when she photographed everyone from Keating to Gorbachov,  from Northern Iraq to Redfern, from Afghanistan to Kiribati. The range and breadth and quality of her work is absolutely breathtaking! And to think I’ve been privileged enough to go on assignment with her, and even be photographed by her for my first novel. All hail Lorrie. And don’t miss the exhibition – it’s on until October 31, and it’s free!
