Ah! The mighty Amazon! The world’s largest river by volume of water with around 20 per cent of the globe’s freshwater, winding 6,400km from the Peruvian Andes into the Atlantic Ocean from Brazil and not a single bridge. And here’s my home for the next few days: a beautiful riverboat called Aqua Nera with just 20 cabins, 40 staff and an absolute haven of luxury. So different from the last time I travelled up the Amazon through Brazil to Manaus.
