It’s the Australian suburb named by Time Out magazine as the coolest in the country — and the 16th coolest in the whole word — so I was keen to check out what’s happening in Burwood in the inner west. And, Wow!, it’s certainly worth a trip. So much activity, so much atmosphere and such great dining. The streets are lit up with neon and thousands of locals, and visitors, walking the streets and choosing what to have for their evening meal. 
We had spring rolls, Ma Po Tofu, caramelised eggplant and fish cooked at the table in a spicy, fragrant broth. Delicious. We followed up with Turkish ice cream … We’ll be back!
