Away from the Sahara Desert, we head through Morocco’s magnificent Todra Gorge – with time for a walk despite the biting cold wind – in the Dades Valley. There are some hardy locals abseiling down the walls but, at minus 6 degrees at land level, who knows how freezing it is up there?
