The World Travel & Tourism Council’s annual global summit opened with a press conference under the glorious sunshine of the open-air Saluting Battery, in Malta’s capital Valletta. It’s the historic ceremonial artillery platform located on the lower tier of the St. Peter & Paul Bastion, overlooking the Grand Harbour. They fired the cannons at the end of the conference and wow! How loud were they! We’re certainly in no doubt that we’ve begun!
