On the train to Lithgow this week to visit my dad, I was taken aback to see someone reading one of my books. It just felt so random. Couldn’t resist asking her if she was enjoying The Duke’s Secret – something you should NEVER do in case they say, “No, it’s terrible, and I wish I’d never bought it.” But happily, she didn’t. She said she was loving it, and after I took a photo of her, insisted on taking a photo of me. In the surprise of the moment, I didn’t even think of offering to sign it. D’Oh!
