A timely reminder that not all the native critters are as cuddly as sloths look. Today, we met a tiny poison dart tree frog — incredibly colourful — but highly toxic with poison it excretes through its skin. The most deadly, however, is another type, the golden one, which contains enough venom to kill 20 people. Good to avoid that one. We also bumped into a 3-metre boa constrictor, and a tarantula bigger than my hand. Euch.
