Vale Father Bob Maguire. Such a sad day to hear of his death as he was always such a great friend. I met him when writing his biography, Father Bob: The Larrikin Priest, and would catch up with him whenever in Melbourne. Such an incredible human being and such a selfless humanist. We could all learn so much from him.
I have so many fabulous memories of my time with him – and have been sharing them on radio and TV … a sad task but an honour. Australia and the world are diminished without him. We’ll miss you, Bob.
